Let’s get the ball rolling…

Hello!

So at some point I had to get the ball rolling and write the first post. Which is hard! I mean, I have posts already planned, content I want to write about, but I needed something before all that. Like an introduction. And I couldn’t think of an actual post that would work, so I just thought I’d ramble about myself a bit instead.

In case you haven’t read my ‘about’ section (which, helloooo, you should. There’s a few good one-liners in there…) I will introduce myself. I’m Charley, and I’m currently on my gap-year, working to earn money for drama school/uni. My future profession of choice is Musical Theatre, and I’ve been studying the art (alongside dance and singing) for as long as I can remember. I’m a massive Musical Nerd, so feel free to message me if you want to fangirl over the latest Fiyero in the west end or discuss the many pros of listening to the Burlesque soundtrack in the gym.

After realising I needed another creative outlet to keep my year busy and exciting, I turned to the world of blogs to fulfil my needs. I’ve always enjoyed writing, but never had the patience to finish a story, which scares me away from the activity altogether. But a blog made sense. Short posts, almost like diary entries, which could be about any topic that took my fancy. Sounds fun to me! I have a fascination when it comes to makeup, and I have spent a lot of my free time watching makeup tutorials. And sometimes I find myself thinking ‘I could do that!’

So makeup it is. Mostly. I’m not going to call this a beauty blog, because it won’t be. It will be a ‘Beauty but also here’s a cool film I watched and here’s ten tips on how to use fairy lights in home decor and I’m bored so I rambled a bit’ blog. I promise there will be useful stuff on here though! If that’s not your thing then I  guess this is your last visit to my blog; it was nice having you, thank you for coming! But if you think you can deal with a bit of rambling every so often, then feel free to stick around, maybe give my blog a follow. I’d appreciate it!

I guess that’s all I have to say for now, so I’ll leave it there instead of rambling on (count on how many times I’ve used the word ‘rambling’ in this blog post = 4. I’ll get a thesaurus next time) Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you soon when I have an actual post! With actual content! Yes!
